Hi sweety,
I am so proud of you honey and so happy that you have got something so positive from all this. You have also made me feel exactly the same way because writing your feelings down in either poetry or this blog is so cathartic and I`m so pleased that you are enjoying this change in your life. That little saying `mind over matter` really is true don`t you think?
When I started writing poetry last year I was so surprised that people actually read them and commented on them and Cherie was my very first follower, followed by Williamsji.
As you know I lost my son Andrew in 09 and the grief I feel has made me completely cut myself off from the world and I never left the house for the first 4 years of losing him. Now I feel able to get back into the world again just like you.
It was my youngest son Christopher ( 24 ) who found the poetry site for me and without telling me he made me a member and then very patiently tought me how to use a computer, and at the age of 55 I admit I was a very late starter as I have never been comfortable with technology!
My first ever poem is called STILL written for Andrews 4th anniversary last year and I have had 9 poems published in our local paper! Geoff started sending them in without me knowing, so that was a very positive experience for me. I also won 1st prize in a competition with STILL! I`m not boasting here! I am just explaining my own experience.
I have come back to life because of all this and like you I now look forward to getting up each morning and I`m on the laptop most of the day and quite often late into the night. A couple of weeks ago I wrote 9 poems in one night, I don`t know where they came from but they were just coming to me one after the other, my dizzy little brain was on fire that night honey.
I am really thrilled that you are feeling so much better in yourself honey and I`m so proud of you for all your hard work and I feel we will be connected to each other for many years to come. We were certainly meant to find each other and I`m so glad that I trust and take notice of my `inner light` as I`m sure you feel the same way about your own `inner light` because you certainly have a very strong one and it shines so brightly through your words sweety. You are doing Gods work honey because you are in turn helping other people to have their own positive experience. Be very proud of your achievements because I am really proud of you.
Love G xx

I am so enjoying your blog, it`s fascinating. Keep on pluggin honey!

OK G, I will give you approval on that post and, of course, you’d be welcome to add anything you’d like…..I love that you let Jeremy into the inner workings of your meditational procedures and protocols…….well done……..t xx

Hey Tony,
Great topic my friend. First off I must say that your testimonial moved me and I’m so encouraged to hear that you’re doing bettter. You know how to pick subjects, that’s for certain. This one really hits home for me in so many ways. But I’ll try to be as brief as I can. Trust me I can go on for volumes.
On a first hand basis I too found a positive life changing place on that same site. The encouragement I recieved made me finish writing my book. There’s little chance I would have garnered that kind of confidence without folks taking me under their wings and giving me positive feedback on the storys and poems I submitted. One lady in particular when I first came on the site, (Rachel G) was single-handedly the most positive and encouraging person to me for a long time. It was all amazing.
Tony at times though, we tend to take these experiences for granted or not recognize how universal they are. I try my best to be intentional in using positive words now. It’s not always easy for me, but practice makes perfect. As you well know, a positive attitude can effect the physical body as well as the mental. So I vow not to take words for granted and how I use them. I’ll finish with this story.
About a month ago this lady calls me up. I’d never met her. Said she was a friend of a friend and wanted to talk to me about poetry. She was told that I write poetry and critiqued very well. So she wanted advice and actually read to me a few of her poems. We spoke for about 40 minutes, and I found out that she has high blood pressure, hyper-tension and a few other medical issues.
Six months previous to our conversation, she was in really rough shape health wise and also an emotional wreck after seeing the doctor and getting diagnosed Then out of the blue she started writing poetry. Writing out her feelings almost everyday. Tony the lady goes back to the doctor and everything improved with her condition. Dramatically. Emotionally she is very positive, and continues to write. The encouragement came as she read the poems to her family members and friends. They are very supportive.
I go to church and hear alot of testimonials, and at times I tend to take them for granted. But as I hear more of these stories, somthing has awakened in me. I believe it is the realization that ‘words’ are much more powerful than I first believed.
Curtis, I came to you because of your words. Your gift is not that you are such a clever conveyer of info. but, that you have an uncanny ability to feel. When you respond on cosmo its always about how the other person made you feel, or see, in your minds eye…..On Star Trek they would call you an “empath”. In my mind, that’s how I see you……a very old, and wise soul, with the ability to write really well just kind of thrown in as an afterthought. I don’t go out of my way to make friends, but in your case I did, because I didn’t think you would and I never pass up an opportunity to learn something new. YOU, my friend, are rare. And if Georgina has taught me anything, it’s that you have to trust your instincts. Thanks for sharing this my brother………your friend,,,,,,t xx
