Yesterday I went back through all my stats for my blog and I found the three that had the fewest views and I will be re-writing and re-posting them in the next week.  I chose them also because they each have something particular to offer in the world of “Metaphysics”.  I am beginning with one of my favorite TV shows (and I very rarely follow TV shows), called “CHARMED”.  It stars, Shannon Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano,  and Rose McGowan……..love these Witches………. 
                          If you’re familiar with this show then you may have an idea what, in particular, attracted me to this show.  I’d like to discuss the main Metaphysical aspects of the show; Orbing, Scrying, telekinesis, and Astral Projection, which are all by-products of the main concern of this blog, which is, ENERGY.  In the show, three sisters, who were born witches but are unaware of the fact, come to a sudden realization that they have been given “gifts”, passed down to them from a long line of witches, and are predicted to form the “POWER OF THREE”  the most powerful white (or good) Witches the world has ever known…Piper, can stop time.  Phoebe, can see the future.  Prue, has the ability to move objects with her mind.  Paige, has the ability to Orb. They ALL have the ability to cast spells, brew potions, defeat Demons and Protect the Innocent.  It’s such a great idea for a show because (for me)  they are always dealing with “Metaphysics”, obviously, my FAVORITE subject, save music………
                           The show comes down to this;….there is a cor group of individuals that come together to form an incredibly tight-knit family.  Most of the plot lines revolve around the intimate relationships that evolve as they learn to use their powers (or gifts) and the morality involved in remaining unselfish in the application of those gifts.  In other words………they CANNOT use their gifts for personal gain!!  So, they must constantly monitor one anothers “growth” and “charity”  as their gifts begin to grow.  I would like to touch on some of these gifts, including “Orbing” and “Scrying”  which one would be hard-pressed to find evidence of, even in ancient texts and scrolls.  In fact, no one really believes that “Orbing” is possible.  Which means, of course, that I DO believe that “Orbing” is possible.  I am a true believer in human capabilities (as proven in many of my earlier posts)  and I also believe that ENERGY is the common Denominator in ALL things.  “Orbing” means that you can “Teleport ” yourself from one place to another without the assistance of any man-made devices.  Your body breaks itself down into pure energy, travels, and then puts the tiny bits of energy that “are you” back together again.  The implications of this possibility are so far reaching that the subject really deserves a book of it’s own, not just a post on a blog.  On the show, this ability is the driving force, or “saving grace” of their abilities.  Basically, it get’s them out of a lot of jams!   In my mind, I see this as being linked to Astral Projection, and the evolution of that gift then becomes “ORBING”.   What I believe is that we will see people who can teleport objects  with their minds before they have developed their belief system, so that they are able to remain detached enough to allow that belief system to develop to a point of being able to take a “Leap of Faith” into teleporting themselves.  And I do believe that it will be a single individual  to first take that “Leap of Faith”.  Oh what a day that will be, a happy day indeed!……
                               Scrying is one of the gifts that ALL of these good witches have in common.  SCRYING is the ability to see into the immediate future, via a “Crystal” over a map, or bowl of water to see in,  a crystal ball, or black mirror may also be used.  This ability helps the “CHARMED ONES”  to track missing friends and Demons alike.   However it is mostly the Scrying ability of the witches that keeps then in the Attic near “The Book Of Shadows” that helps them gather and keep their focus on helping “innocents”.
                               The show brilliantly focuses on the relationships between the witches, and their amazing love and protective bond they share.  Please allow me to say that if you get a chance to see “CHARMED” (on Netflix) you should begin with season1, episode 1………to really give it a fair shot.  The show gets better and better as it goes……especially after sister PAIGE joins the Power Of Three!   Anyway, if you give it  a chance you may find it as engrossing as I do.  It ran for 8 seasons so, it’s got teeth……..take a chance……..it really is “Charming” to watch good witches using Metaphysical gifts, with such kindness and ruthlessness on the Streets of San Francisco……I am Dartanion2…………….and that’s the way I see it………….cheers……..t  xx
