beautyWhen you actually take the time to sit back and think about what it is that Nature really is, it becomes a “ballet” really.  Nature satisfies our souls purely by its beauty alone.  It was this beauty that prompted us to form sounds, and then words, so that we could describe what it was that we were seeing.  The ancient Greeks used to call the world “BEAUTY”.  It’s our eyes that have been the main conveyer and processor.  The human “eye” is like the best artist ever known.  It is the eye that observes motion, light, the effects of light on objects, and the observation of these unmutable laws that provides us with that all powerful idea of “Perspective”.  I mean think about it.  Take the ugliest thing you can imagine and then imagine shining incredibly intense bright light on it, what happens?  That thing becomes quite beautiful in the “Light” doesn’t it?  It’s this perspective that keeps our eyes intrigued and constantly re-interpreting what they see.  The human body, the majesty of the mountains, trees, flowers, the sky and so on, are all beautiful and open to interpretation.  “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is a literal truth that we have all come to use as cliche’ expression.  The more you sit back and consider the nature of beauty the more the word “Aspect” seems to pop up into the equation.  The aspects of beauty are incredibly numerous.  What about one of the most profound?  The aspect under which the beauty of the world can be viewed as it becomes an “aspect” of the intellect.  The intellect seeks out the perfect order in things as we imagine they would be in the mind of God.  It’s really the only way we have of determining a basis or “playing field” for these philosophical determinations.  When someone produces a work of art it throws a light on the mystery of humanity.  After all, we are constantly trying to answer questions about who we are and where we come from.  The nature of beauty is the obvious place to start, it’s what we see every day.  And the more we see our observations being interpreted by other peoples inspiration and creativity our idea of beauty grows exponentially.  The beauty of nature can be so overwhelming that it can break down a fully grown human being and break it down into tears in just a matter of moments.  The beauty of nature is a living thing that is so powerful that it actually disguises itself as the nature of beauty.  A mind trip to say the least.  One of my favorite quotes goes something like this, “In private places, among a myriad of objects, an act of heroism seems at once to draw to itself the sky as it’s temple, the sun as it’s candle….”  If nature reaches out to our intellect in such grandiose terms then our only hope is that our thoughts rise up with equal awesomeness.  The entire time I sat back considering these thoughts on the nature of beauty, my mind could not help but wonder about that which we would call unnatural.  Like HEAVEN.  What must heaven be like in terms of beauty.  It must be so beautiful that we simply lack the vocabulary to describe it.  And if there exists such a place then as students of life, shouldn’t we be writing more poems and doing more paintings about beauty?  For surely the nature of beauty has something to teach us.  And since we DO seem to have a capacity for learning, shouldn’t we dedicate some of our time just, sitting back, and smiling at the beauty and the wonder of it all?  GOD is sure one smart cookie. I Love being alive……..smiles!!!…………………….I am Dartanion2…….and that’s the way I see it…………cheers………..t  xx  ps.. I apologize if this came out as some long rambling……..it was late, and I was very happy, having been inspired by a woman of great beauty herself……….smiles      T  x
