It is in WORDS I find solace for, like Emerson, “The credentials of the poet are that he announces to the world that he is a beholder of the world and an utterer of the “necessary” and the “causal”……….The poet has a new thought, he has a whole new experience to unfold……..the universe is the externalization of the soul…….this insight, which expresses itself by what is called imagination, is a very high sort of “seeing”, which does not come by study but, by the intellect being “where” and “what” it see’s..” ~ These are, of course, the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, one of my favorite writers, and YES the words are a bit out of context but ARE direct quotes from one of Emerson’s essays entitled “The Poet”.
I find that I have lived my entire life based on that Love of language ~ forgetting that which I understood so well as a child………much like Emerson……..that when you resign yourself to your mood ~ and the emotion that drove you to your present behavior, that in THAT moment, that lonely moment, you are creating something new, something never experienced in EXACTLY that way before. And it is in THAT moment that something, never before felt or seen, is born ~ and THAT thing ~ that brand new thing ~ is organic! Again, that newly born consideration, is Organic, and it is in that blissful realization where living (being alive) becomes truly worthwhile. Because it is certainly NOT in money or power……..those things are easily manifested……..just ask Napoleon Hill, he’ll show you the way to those things………NO!! it is not there ~ it’s in the MOMENTS………those moments where, in every persons life, time stands still……..like in a kiss, or in that first step upon the moon, in holding your child for the first time, or in moments of extreme trauma where you find yourself outside of your body!………..Those profound moments that Carlos Castaneda referred to as “Stopping The World” ~ it is in THOSE moments, where time no longer plays a role in being alive ~ many, find their way to those moments through meditation……….spending much of the effort of their lives on focusing and becoming what we refer to as a Shaman ~ but for others, like Emerson or myself, it is found in words ~ in the physical act of putting the words in your mind, down on paper ~ where you recognize that the words have taken you elsewhere ~ where time has stopped and you suddenly realize that an hour has passed by ~ and you were not there to experience it…..because……you have been “elsewhere” ~ conceiving of and experiencing that which cannot be put into words……and you find a beautiful solace in your pursuit of painting, or photographing with words……….I am Dartanion2……….and that’s the way I see it…………..cheers………….T xo

I totally get where you`re coming from with this one T`, you have described perfectly the situation when I start to write my poetry and articles. It`s like going into my own little universe where I feel free to write about how I feel and what I want to share with people. I love my little piece of that universe because time stands still for me and I am safe in there and free! Well done on for a great piece. I love you sweety. G xx
Hey Georgie ~ I’m totally with you on that account……..I think most writers might agree……..it’s a lot like meditation in that way……….thanx for being cool girlfriend……..hugz from your Beasty Boy!!……….smiles………T xo
