Hi Tony. I enjoyed your exploration into LOVE. Anyone that knows me as a person or my writings expressed in my poetry realizes that I am ‘in love’ with ‘love’. Passionate writes are my favorite. I love the mystery and evolution over time of love. I can accept not understanding its power, but I must experience it with all my senses and spirit. I am a passionate person, and I believe whole heartedly that love needs expression and nurturing to keep two close. Communication goes a long way to keep love on course…..but even more is passion. Without passion in a relationship, it is like you expressed in your write…more of a dedication without inspiration. There is this mystery about what makes two people ‘fall’ in love. It really finds you….not the other way around. It can surprise you and hit you hard. There is infatuation and lust, but the beautiful soul connection that is inexplicably miraculous and holding….THAT is true love. When you look into someone’s eyes and see and feel a reflection of your heart before you. I think that so many marriages and relationships end when the couple take each other for granted, find substitutes to fill voids, instead of nurturing and growing together. I am a hopeless romantic….and I believe with God included to bless a relationship…it can be a blessing forever. I want to believe it can be so. Maybe I need to believe. 🙂 I enjoyed your blog entry. I think I may write a poem now that you got me thinking about love’s mystery. Hmmm.
I just reread your blog. I think I needed to hear your ending words.._ “just remember it (love) doesn’t need to make any sense at all if you have “faith.” With a little faith you can change the world.” Put faith, hope, mixed with love, and I think God makes a way in HIS way for LOVE to occur….maybe not in the way we expected. The all consuming, have to run home to love, have to be near love, have to hear from love….as obsessive and out of control as that sounds…..yeah….I want that. 🙂
Great article, Tony…bummer man I wrote a comment and it got sucked into cyberspace, not sure what my fingers pressed…enjoyed the read though…will try again tom.
